Project LBMC

Stage 5 Fuel and Air

LIFT PUMP

The third step in our fuel upgrade is to keep the modified CP3 well-fed at all times. With the injectors, modified CP3 and software, our factory fuel pump isn't going to cut it. We've installed BD's Flow-Max lift pump. This pump is a gerator-type pump that's capable of providing a constant 150-gallon-per-hour supply of fuel. It will mount on the frame rail below the driver's side of the cab. The MaxFlow pump replaces the factory in-tank pump, so we've removed that from the tank and replaced it with a larger pick-up tube.

With our new fuel "makeover," we should be all set to provide the LBMC with a solid, consistent, high volume of fuel. At this point, we shouldn't have a problem providing enough fuel to reach 500-600 rwhp.
