Work Of Art, Purple Heart

One advantage of being the owner of a commercial graphics company is that your truck can always have a unique look. And with a name like the Purple Heart, you can bet the truck will catch the eye of many in Texas.

Joseph Price, also known as the bearded wrapper, owns Artworks Commercial Graphics and Dallas Car Wraps, in Irving, TX. The Purple Heart truck was designed to be a tribute to heroes, including his father who was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart.

Price has owned three diesel trucks over the past five years. But the Purple Heart was made for shows and to promote his business as a company truck. His first diesel was a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. Then he purchased a 2017 Ford F250 to be his personal daily driver. He bought the 2018 Ford F250 to be a company truck.

“We utilize [both the 2017 Ford F250 and the 2018 Ford F250] for advertising and shows,” he explained. “The 2017 is more to showcase our work and the 2018 is for branding, showing who we are at a job site.”

When Price first started modifying his trucks, he was looking for performance gains for hauling loads. But soon found the pleasure in having a unique vehicle to drive around. Since then, driving a stock truck “just isn’t my thing,” he said.
