Bigger And Better
Now that this beast of a project is all wrapped up, what’s next for Travis? A little bit of a cross-country move, actually. He owns some land in Conover, NC, and is looking to move down there sometime in the next year or so. He says it’ll be good to get away from the snow (natch), but it’ll also get him closer to manufacturers and suppliers. “Around here it just seems like such an impossible task. You’ve got to ship it out of state or track this guy down to be able to get something like that done. It becomes a pain in the ass. When you take a project like this and you run into issues, you just don’t want to bother with that. It makes a week process a month process. It just gets overwhelming.”
He’s looking forward to the change of scenery. “We’ll get down there with me and my wife running the garage like we did up here. We’ll hire two people and see where it leads. If it leads into more, we’ll hire more. But we’re going to do the same thing: aftermarket parts and sales and diesel repair.”
With the stellar work he’s done on Project TowMax, we can only see bigger and better things for Travis.
