Upgrade 1: Exhaust

A new exhaust is an easy way to improve the air flow of your truck. Performance exhaust systems are designed to let the combustive gases get out of your engine more efficiently, which in turn frees up room for more fuel and air to burn to give you more power.

Now, I know I said “easy” a minute ago, but putting on this aFe Power exhaust was a little trickier than we were anticipating. Our kit was designed for a short-bed Colorado, and ours is a long bed. We had to make some modifications to the mounting brackets and existing exhaust pipe, but we got it on there as solid as can be. We were rewarded with a great sound and an even better look to the exhaust. This particular exhaust doubles back toward the front of the truck and allows for a side-out dump for better clearance by popping out just ahead of the right rear tire. It’s a striking look, and aFe’s double exhaust tips look really nice.

Austin says, “This exhaust is a great way to relocate your tail pipe, and it looks so awesome, too!”
