Our Emissions-Intact LML Broke 700 Horsepower!

December 2016 Build, Duramax, Feature Trevor Mason

If you've been following along in our magazine or on our Facebook page, you'll recall that one of the project trucks we've been working on is a 2016 Chevy Duramax LML. Our goal has been to build a truck that could stay emissions-intact while still being able to hang with the best modified trucks out there. The diesel industry is at something of an inflection point these days, what with the EPA cracking down on people and shops deleting the emissions control systems on their trucks in order to make better performance gains.

Well, we thought there was a better way! And, as the headline states, we more than achieved our goal. We had been shooting (read: hoping) for around 600hp, so we couldn’t be happier with how things have turned out so far. Plus, we’re not even done yet! There are still some things to be done to finish out our plans for the truck. To get some more details, check out the video to the left, and oh, this fancy little podcast we appeared on last week. The gents over at the Diesel Performance Podcast were kind enough to host us for a little while to get the lowdown on the build. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram to get daily updates.

And you can see this truck in person at this year's Ultimate Callout Challenge!
