The cover is sand cast aluminum with fins that aid in heat dissipation and cooling. Those fins also make for a lower cover profile that allows for more clearance among steering and suspension components. On top of all of this, it still has increased oil capacity which further disperses heat. Also for your convenience, the oil can be changed without removing the cover.
The PML differential cover works as a replacement for all stock American Axle 9.25-inch, 235-millimeter covers on the 2013 and newer 3500 and 2014 and newer 2500 trucks. It uses RTV (silicon rubber) gasket material, and includes a 3/8-inch gasket flange that will not bend when tightening bolts. All parts required for installation are included.
