Project LBZ Part 3

September 2015 Build, Duramax Jeffrey V. Shirts

Rounding Out the Build

With the FASS fuel pump installed and the front of the truck looking renewed, we carried the appearance work from the front of the truck through to the tail pipe at the end. From the start of Project LBZ we have chosen and relied upon Sinister Diesel parts and components because of their superior quality and the improvements they provide over stock performance.

From the perspective of exhaust, air enters the truck through the Sinister intake tube and travels the length of the truck before exiting the Sinister exhaust and tip. Aftermarket exhausts are not only popular, but important to the overall function and performance of diesel trucks. By removing the stock parts and replacing them with Sinister parts, we are able to not only improve the exhaust flow through the truck, but also increase the horsepower of the vehicle. Finishing the Sinister exhaust is a stainless steel exhaust tip, which sits below the Spyder tail lights.

Distant Vistas

With Project LBZ on its feet it was time to look forward and queue up the changes and modifications for the next step of the build. With the front and back looking tough with new fight in them, it’s time to address what has become the elephant in the room: the lack of a proper lift, tires and wheels. In our next part of Project LBZ we’ll be back in Custom Auto’s shop finally addressing this issue.
