Enhanced Delivery

With all of the hard work and upgrades done to the engine, making sure his fuel delivery was ample and clean was Unruh's next priority. In the stock system, diesel is delivered through the injectors with air entrained into it. This causes a lack of power and keeps the truck from performing to manufacturer's specifications. In a modified truck, this effect is compounded. Introducing a FASS 125 gph pump, which delivers higher, more efficient flow at higher pressures, was the ultimate answer to the concern for clean diesel delivery.

Not wasting any time, Unruh mounted and redirected his fuel lines to the pump.

“I know that a lot of power is going into the truck already and I'm sure even more will be upgraded in the future,” says Unruh. “I wanted to make sure that every system, especially fuel, is up to the challenge.”

With a quick assessment to check everything over and ensure everything was done properly, attention was redirected to taking steps to monitor and observe the truck's function while operating, which Unruh already had the answer to.
