Starting The Flow

New nozzles aren’t going to do you much unless you have the needed parts delivering the fuel to those nozzles. We went with AirDog’s lift pump based off of, once again, the success that Ryan has had with them.

“Throughout the years, having used all the different lift pumps out there, I have found AirDog to be one of the most quiet, compact and best lift pumps on the market,” states Ryan. “That is why I sell a lot of them.”

Lift pumps are able to deliver a significantly higher amount of fuel to the engine than stock pumps and when you are planning big power like we are with the Honey Badger, you definitely need them. Without them, you risk starving the engine of fuel and compromising the performance of the engine.

In fact, an inadequate lift pump can not only starve an injection pump, but can also cause it to overheat and possibly fail prematurely. An adequate flow of fuel to the injection pump helps the pump components stay cool and also keeps them lubricated.

Just like the nozzles, installation was smooth. A great benefit of the AirDog systems is that it comes with very detailed instructions that should help make installation smooth sailing for almost every skill level.
