Going Remote

Firestone offers new key fob

December 2012 News DT Staff

Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC has added the Compact Remote Air Command system to its line of Air-Rite Air Control Systems. The remote system provides an instant air source to Firestone's complete line of suspension solutions, allowing for convenient adjustability of air helper springs for various vehicle loads and road conditions.

Designed to be a cost-effective alternative to standard in-cab controller systems, the Compact Remote Air Command system consists of a key fob controller, an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and a Light Duty air compressor. The key fob controller has two basic functions: to turn on the Light Duty compressor (up to 120 psi with a 9 percent duty cycle) and fill the air helper springs, and to open the exhaust valve to let air out.

The Compact Remote Air Command system, which works up to 25 feet away from the vehicle, lets drivers visually inspect a vehicle's ride height while adjusting the amount of air in the air helper springs. 800-888-0650 http://www.ride-rite.com
