Recapping our 7.3L project truck

Rear Diff

While we had it on the lift we also installed a new rear differential cover. These rear ends don't tend to get serviced a lot, so it was nice to add new gear lube while we were at it. For this we went with Royal Purple, since this is a company we've come to trust.

We went with a rear differential cover from aFe Power that is specific to 1986 to 2011 Ford diesel trucks. The new cover has a 5-quart lube capacity (factory cover holds 4 quarts), a magnetic drain plug and a magnetic tipped fill plug for maximum rear-end protection.

The new transmission passed with flying colors as we took it on a test run and we can really feel the difference in how firmly it now shifts between gears.

The guys at Adrenaline Performance did a great job and we couldn't be happier.
