Needing Attitude

We then decided we needed to change the way the engine dealt with that air with a computer upgrade. For this modification, we decided to go with the favorite of many diesel enthusiasts and an industry leader, the Edge Attitude CTS.

The display is one of the top reasons for anyone to buy this model of chip. The full-color 4.3-inch touch screen allows you to choose a wide range of statistics to monitor. You can also customize the background of the display to show a picture of your truck or your family. Wire up a camera and you now have the ability to turn it into a review camera. Another great feature of this Edge unit is that the driver can change between one of the five levels of tuning on the fly.

Ryan said that one of the key selling points of this unit for the 1998.5 to 2002 truck models is the ability to monitor lift pump pressure right on the display.

"That pressure is crucial," says Ryan. "When it drops below 4 psi you run the risk of burning your injection pump right up."

Ryan estimates that the horsepower gains on the Honey Badger should be around 65hp at this point, but we'll be getting official dyno numbers soon.
