James Davis' 2007 LBZ 3500

May 2011 News, Duramax

Maintenance, Shmaintenance. James Davis' 2007 LBZ 3500 cc/lb two-wheel drive was bought new back in May of '07. It had 210,000 miles on it, and the Albion, Mich-native said his rig is "pretty much trouble free, as a matter of fact I just put on my third set of tires."  The first set went to 72,000 miles and the second set ran from 72 to 210,000 miles.

The truck features a Banks intake and scoop, straight-piped exhaust, a Banks six-gun with speed loader that's made more interesting paired with EFI Live and Snow Performance Stage 3 MPG Max water-methanol injection. It also has fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitches, a Bluetooth mp3 player with 12-disc changer and a Wilson wireless cell phone booster. The diamond-plate bed rails match the diamond-plate 115 gallon auxiliary fuel tank in the bed (with on-the-fly refueling) and diamond-plate over the wheel well tool boxes. It's all nicely covered with a Truxedo roll-up cover and, although he's not going to give us specifics, the truck also has "some other goodies."
