HOW IT WORKS:
It's pretty common knowledge that the 6.0LPower Stroke, while an impressive powerplant, has had a few agonizing issues. Most common were blown head gaskets from the lack of clampling force from factory head bolts, sticky variable vanes in the early turbos and that pesky EGR system.
To help combat some of these issues, whether you've already experienced them or would like to prevent them before they happen, turn to the EGR Delete Kit. This new kit from Gillett Diesel in Bluffdale, UT, is one of the cleanest, well thought-out and great performing kits on the market.
Deleting the EGR System on your 6.0L Power Stroke can accomplish a few things. First, cleaner intake air to the engine. You'll no longer have spent exhaust running back into the intakes and being run back through the engine. That means cooler EGTS, a cleaner running engine and no more worries of leaky and plugged EGR Systems.
We installed the kit on a 2004 F250, although we'll admit it is not an install for novies. If you've got some mechanical background and feel you could conquer your own turboo swap or do most of your work yourself, this is and install that can be done in 6-8 hours.
