Dodge officials have restated its commitment to producing a light duty diesel engine for the Ram 1500 chassis. Ford has put its diesel-powered F150 on hold for now until the economy rebounds. Dodge will produce a rumored 5.0L V6 diesel, not an inline cylinder engine.
