Scheid Diesel Diesel Dragster runs 203.71 MPH in the 1/4 mile

Scheid Diesel Motorsports' diesel dragster makes another mark in the record books. The fastest diesel dragster ran 203.71 mph in the quarter mile at the Muncie Dragway in Muncie, IN. Saturday October 18, 2008 the Scheid Diesel built dragster, sponsored by Silverline, ran 7.123 at 202.65 mph and backed it up with 6.908 at 203.71 mph.

Scheid Diesel Motorsports has designed the engine for the Spitzer built chassis. This 300 inch rear engine dragster is powered by a Cummins 5.9L B-series diesel engine with twin turbos, water injection and runs on #2 diesel fuel. The engine has been custom designed by Scheid Diesel. The transmission is a Lenco with a Strange Top Loader rear end. Watch for it at the track in spring 2009, don't blink.
