Arctic Cat Diesel ATV

Published in the August 2008 Issue August 2008 News, Products

If your idea of fun is having all of your toys powered by diesel engines, then this is your all-terrain vehicle. Arctic Cat's 700 Diesel 4x4 ATV is powered by a 695cc I-twin two-valve, single overhead cam four-stroke diesel engine. No, it's not turbocharged (we tore our demo unit down to the frame to get a closer look at the engine, and see if there was any room for mods). But it does have enough torque to pull your house across your yard, and likely could with its four-wheel drive differential lock. The 809-pound log-hauler features double A-arm suspension front and rear and an automatic continuous variable transmission (CVT) with engine braking system (EBS). The 700 Diesel can tow over 1,000 pounds and haul up to 300 pounds on its racks (100 lbs front, 200 lbs rear).

Check out www.arctic-cat.com for info and to locate your nearest dealer. MSRP $9,299.
