New BD Cab And Chassis Manifold

December 2021 Products

The 2013-2018 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Cab and chassis model trucks are sold with a one-piece manifold design which are prone to cracking from thermal cycling. Thermal cycling of the manifold causes the material to expand and contract creating a stress concentration in the casting which leads to premature failure.

BD Diesel’s Ram 6.7L Cab & Chassis 2-piece exhaust manifolds are made from thick-walled high silicone ductile iron designed to resist thermal warping. The piece design allows for the manifolds to expand and contract with thermal cycling without causing excess stress in the casting. Each manifold has been gasket matched and designed using 3D flow simulations to optimize flow from the engine to the turbocharger

  • The 6.7L Cummins exhaust manifold has a known thermal cracking failure
  • During heat cycling the manifold expands and contracts causing cracking from internal stresses
  • High silicon ductile cast iron designed to withstand extreme temperatures and vibration
  • Added port for Auxiliary EGT probe
  • Precision slip joints allow the manifold to expand and contract, which reduces cyclic thermal fatigue and greatly increases manifold longevity.
  • Designed using pulse flow for quicker turbo spool and increased power
