Light Up the Night

November 2021 Products

It’s that time of year again where flannel, hot chocolate and magical winter wonderlands are topics of conversation. It’s especially important during this season to clean and restore oxidized headlights as the sun sets earlier, fog begins to roll in and weather conditions during this time are culprits for poor visibility. Replacing plastic headlights can be expensive and, in some cases, hard to find, Meguiar’s offers a solution for headlights that aren’t looking as clear as they should.

If you are working by hand, and your headlights have more moderate oxidation, the Meguiar’s Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit is ideal for you. With no drill required, the kit quickly and easily restores clarity to oxidized and yellowed headlights, utilizing a revolutionary coating that also protects against yellowing and re-oxidation for up to 12 months.

With this kit, the first step is to clean the surface evenly with one of the included abrasive cleaning pads and by using the Cleaning Compound. Work the product back and forth until the headlamp has a uniform, frosted appearance. After wiping the headlight clean with a damp cloth and drying completely, the second step is to apply the Headlight Coating spray. Shake well and apply a medium coat to the entire surface of the headlight, overlapping your passes by 50%. After allowing this to cure for 3-5 minutes, apply a second coat for a thorough seal. The headlight coating will then be fully cured after 24 hours and will protect from re-oxidation for up to a year.

Meguiar’s Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit has an MSRP of $19.99. The product is now available for purchase at auto specialty stores and online merchants nationwide.
