ARP Fasteners Can Handle What Diesels Throw At Them

October 2020 Products DT Staff

When it's time to refresh or rebuild a diesel, go with ARP fasteners. They’re made to handle the enormous stresses that will kill regular automotive fasteners, even those made for high performance. ARP Pro Series fasteners are cold-forged from ARP2000 alloy steel. With a clamp load rating of 220,000 PSI, they're much stronger than 8740 chromoly. Summit Racing carries ARP fasteners for Ford Powerstroke, GM Duramax, and Dodge/Ram Cummins engines.

In example, take a look at the Pro Series Cylinder Head Stud Kits. Most of them come with ARP2000 studs. Kits for Chevy 6.6L Duramax and Dodge Cummins 12- and 24-valve engines are also available with studs made from ARP’s Custom Age 625+ alloy, which has a tensile strength rating from 260,000 to 280,000 PSI. We have yet to see an engine that breaks that. All Pro Series cylinder head stud kits include 12-point nuts and hardened parallel washers for an even load distribution and accurate torque readings.
