Add another means of protection and increase fluid flow with PPE's easy-to-install billet aluminum Transmission Oil Thermal Bypass Valve for the L5P Duramax Diesel. The OEM valve has restrictive internal passages. It can fail in the open position, and then the transmission fluid doesn't reach your cooler. This problem can be caused by mechanical failure or debris, and then as a result, your transmission can overheat. Without properly cooled fluid, the demands of towing and heavy stop-and-go driving shorten the life of your transmission components.
The PPE Bypass Valve maximizes fluid flow from the transmission cooler. A service plug with a neodynium magnet has also been added for further protection.
