Often you hear about “a little old lady who only drove her car to church on Sundays” … but what about the retired “bad ass grandma” who loved to drive her diesel truck everywhere?
Well that pretty much describes Jannit Neiffer, who decided that she wanted to buy a 2018 Dodge Cummins to get her everywhere she wanted to go. “This is my first pickup truck,” she explained. “I have always wanted a big black-on-black beefy pickup truck.”
Since her son-in-law was a diesel enthusiast, Neiffer decided it would be a great way to combine his interests with her vehicle needs.
The truck was purchased and about $15,000 worth of aftermarket items were installed by the dealer’s performance shop. Neiffer went with the BDS 8-inch 4-link system with all FOX performance shocks all the way around, FOX duel stabilizer, BD steering box stabilizer. The rims are Fuel 20-inch Assault rapped with 37-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers.
Neiffer said she wanted a more aggressive look so she added a Fab Four Vengeance front bumper with four Rigid 4-inch LED pods and one 20-inch Rigid LED bar. It’s finished off with a Westin HDX rear bumper. Most of the work on the truck was completed by her son-in-law Rick Price.
“It’s an eye catcher all the time,” Neiffer said. “I love the compliments I get from all the women that find out that it’s a woman’s truck and it just blows the guys minds that I’m a bad ass grandma. I love the performance it has right now. I will eventually add a cold air intake and possible add an exhaust system to it, but for now it’s perfect.”
