Wilco Offroad

Finally, one thing that always seems to plague our trucks after the addition of big tires is the fact that there’s nowhere to put your new spare. Once you get into those bigger tires, they won’t fit in the factory location under the rear of the bed; they’re just too big. Wilco Offroad has two perfect solutions, the Tiregate Prerunner and the Hitchgate Max. The Prerunner replaces the tailgate with a tire carrier that will accommodate up to a 40-inch tire; can be mounted in-board or out-board, depending on your needs; and swings fully out of the way to allow access to the truck bed.

For those who don’t want to replace your tailgate, the Hitchgate Max slides into your hitch receiver and accommodates a 38-inch tire as well as an optional extra cargo basket. All told, it supports up to 350 pounds and can be fitted win an adapter that allows you to still use your trailer hitch. (www.wilcooffroad.com)
