Banks Power

Banks Power has always been at the forefront of power innovations for diesel engines, and their latest invention is going to be a surefire game changer. The new iDash 1.8 gauge plugs into the ODB2 port on your truck and scans all the data it spits out. Pretty standard so far, right? Well, what it does next is the kicker. It comes with Banks’ patented boost density suite, which reads both temperature and pressure and combines them into a single measurement called air density. This is important because air volume is only half the story. We all know that cold air is better for our engines than hot air. Well, cold air is denser than hot air. This gauge lets you read that density so you have an exact idea of how everything is performing. Banks’ system lets you daisy-chain up to four modules together to monitor different parts of your engine and will communicate with other Banks modules. Finally, it reads warnings and can read and clear trouble codes. (www.bankspower.com)
