Not anymore. Ford just launched a dual-stage turbocharger that will be a money-saving one-stop option for replacing both turbochargers at once.
“The new dual-stage turbocharger allows installers to provide one repair at a lower cost that also includes peripheral parts like an oil supply line and an installation kit that would otherwise need to be purchased separately,” said Dan Goering, Diesel Product Manager for Ford Motor Company.
