On a trip to the nation's capitol this past summer, we were feeling a little out of place. Out of place meaning no modified diesel pickups. There were a few of your basic bone-stock diesels rolling around as work trucks now and then, but nothing worth noting. However, we did come across this murdered-out Ford Super Duty 6.4L Power Stroke in Alexandria, just a few miles south of Arlington National Cemetery. Was there somebody in that humid political landscape with a truck we could relate to? No. Our hopes were dashed when we walked to the back of the truck and saw its license plates: North Carolina. Close enough.
