Another available upgrade is a governor spring kit to allow the pump to fuel to a higher rpm range. In Figure 8 the governor access plug is removed, showing the retainer of the governor spring assembly. There are two governor counterweights and two governor spring sets that control the rpm of the engine, dependent on load. Upcoming article(s) will detail different levels of upgrades and installation tips, so stay tuned.
