The Strongest Synthetic Shackle on the Market

August 2019 News DT Staff

The Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle series from Bubba Rope, the pioneer in vehicle recovery and towing products, has expanded to include the all-new NexGen PRO. A new slider design creates an extremely easy-to-use synthetic shackle that has a higher break-rating for its size than any competing synthetic shackle available today.

“We have reinvented the synthetic shackle, taking it another level of ease and strength,” said Jim Grass, Bubba Rope's New Products Manager.

The Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle series is used recreationally and commercially for safely connecting vehicle or equipment recovery ropes and tow straps. The NexGen PRO is made from high modulus polyethylene fiber rope, which is a lighter and safer replacement for heavy steel shackles and hooks. Bubba Rope engineered this new synthetic shackle in a way that eliminates the same rope-weakening splices found in other soft-shackle designs by using an epoxy rubber slider that slips over the patented knot. The result is a shackle that is flexible enough to wrap around or through almost any pulling point, and with a higher tensile strength than steel.

The 3/8-inch NexGen PRO synthetic shackle weighs only 6.5 ounces yet pulls up to 47,000 lbs., an increase of 46-percent over the original Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle. Additionally, all Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles contain no metal so they will not rust and are lightweight enough to float.

The original Gator-Jaw design won the award for Best New Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive Product at the 2015 SEMA Show, and it has been a staple for off-road synthetic shackles ever since.

All Bubba Rope products are proudly made in the USA. For more information, call 877-499-8494 or visit www.bubbarope.com.
