DEI recently introduced the popular Titanium Turbo Shield, now available for the Garrett GTP38R turbocharger. This turbo shield is custom designed to fit the GTP38R to reduce turbo lag, boost horsepower and add thermal protection for longer performance.
Excessive heat from turbos can put electrical wiring, hoses and components at risk; this shield thus serves as a quality insulator to keep heat in the exhaust path. The exterior is made of pulverized lava rock material manufactured into tightly woven fibers for titanium-like strength. The interior is made of silica fireproof insulation with a fireproof core and double-reinforced seams. The Titanium Turbo Shield is secured to the turbine housing with anchoring hooks.
