Pressure Spring Improves

FASS System

Published in the August 2013 Issue August 2013 Products

Driven Diesel has released a custom regulator spring that will run the high-pressure FASS Titanium or Platinum Series pumps at 75psi. FASS Titanium and Platinum pumps that are designed to replace the OEM fuel pump on 7.3L and 6.0L Ford Power Stroke trucks come pre-set to 55psi. When using one of these pumps with an aftermarket Regulated Return Fuel System or any other method of increasing fuel pressure, the stock FASS pressure regulator spring will not allow more than 55psi of pressure at the pump outlet, resulting in less than 55psi of pressure at the engine-mounted fuel pressure regulator and possible pressure drop problems.

Using the Driven Diesel 75psi pressure spring, fuel systems can be run at the more common 60-65psi and still have some “overhead” to maintain pressure when the demand on the fuel rail increases. This spring is available through Strictly Diesel.
