New 5.9L Cummins Coolant Filter Kit Released

Published in the August 2013 Issue August 2013

For years, Dodge truck owners have had a hard time finding a 5.9L Cummins coolant filter kit. It’s for that reason Sinister Diesel recently released its new kit for 2003-2007 Dodge trucks. The kit is designed to remove large and small debris from the cooling system, prolonging the system’s life by keeping harsh minerals and particles from heating up seals and building up scale in the engine.

The kit is unique because the mounting location is out of the engine bay, removing it from heat and providing a cleaner look.

The Sinister Diesel 5.9L Cummins Coolant Filter Kit includes a coolant filter block, a block mounting bracket, two high-temp silicone hoses, two ball valves, a coolant filter, two 3/8-inch NPT 90-degree fittings (in hoses), a 1/4-inch NPT straight fitting, two 3/8-16 bolts and lock washers, a small #6 hose clamp, two large #10 hose clamps, a long M14 bolt and a roll of sealant tape.
