Valvoline High Performance Gear Oil is an extreme pressure gear lubricant recommended for conventional drive axles, differentials, non-synchronized transmissions, and power take-off (PTO) units requiring an oil designed for high speed, high load, high torque, and/or high horsepower applications. Valvoline High Performance Gear Oil meets or exceeds API GL-4 and GL-5 requirements. Features include:

DuraBlend Synthetic Blend Gear Oil
Valvoline’s DuraBlend Gear Oil is formulated from premium synthetic and conventional base oils to deliver enhanced performance in both low- and high-temperature operating conditions. Valvoline recommends DuraBlend Gear Oil for light trucks and heavy-duty trucks where an API GL-4 or GL-5 oil is specified, and temperature and humidity ranges vary widely between service intervals. It is available in 80W90 and 85W140 viscosities.
SynPower Full Synthetic Gear Oils with Limited Slip Additive
At the top of the Valvoline gear oil mountain is SynPower Full Synthetic Gear Oil. This extreme pressure, extreme wear gear oil offers the greatest level of protection in conventional and high performance applications. Special additives protect gear teeth and substantially reduce wear, and allow the oil to meet or exceed the service requirements for API GL-4/GL-5/MT-1, MIL-PRF-2105E, SAE J2360, and Mack GO-J fluids.
SynPower is also Valvoline’s only gear oil to contain friction modifiers that eliminate chattering in GM, Ford, and Chrysler limited slip differentials, eliminating the need to buy expensive supplemental additives.
