Caleb Wilson's Truck Next Door

Sedalia, MO

April 2018 Duramax, Feature My Truck, Feature DT Staff

I have owned my truck ever since I was 15 (I'll be 22 this November). It was bone stock when I bought it and has been a slow build over the past few years, since I was just starting out on a budget as a kid. Currently the truck’s setup is a full built trans by myself that was actually done in my apartment when I was in college! I used Suncoast clutches, custom pressure modifications, and a DPC Converter, then a DHD converter lockup switch. It’s running 100 percent over injectors and a 10mm CP3 from Shane Roark from Inventa RND. It’s all fed by an AirDog 2 200 4G lift pump. It also has a custom-built stock-appearing IHI turbo with an s369sxe center section in it from David Browning at DTS, along with ProFab manifolds/up pipes. ARP headstuds clamp down custom ported heads that were worked over by my neighbor, Marty Miller of Miller Racing Engines. I also used Empire Performance Engineering valve springs and push rods. I daily drive the truck and also sled pull. It has always been my dream to pull and have been fortunate enough to be able to pull pretty dedicatedly the last couple of years, along with placing very well for just starting out! The work has all been spread out, and I plan to build the bottom end of the motor once the stock rods/crank let go.
