Ficosa has developed an intelligent rearview mirror system (IRMS) that integrates a rear display with a traditional mirror. The mirror itself extends the rearward field of view to 50 degrees, which is double that of a traditional mirror, to considerably reduce blind spots. It also attenuates glare and increases visibility in low light.
The IRMS can function as a split screen to show the mirror and display simultaneously. It can also use Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to show information about surrounding vehicles to the driver. (www.ficosa.com)
